The Charlotte Campbell House is ideal self-catering accommodation for large or small groups.  The listed building, situated in beautiful scenery at the foot of the Pentland Hills, offers facilities suited to Girls' and Boys' Brigade, Guides, Scouts as well as private groups.

Only 12 miles from Edinburgh on the A702 Biggar/Lanark Road, it is the perfect location for away days, short breaks or longer stays.  The house includes the following:

Charlotte Campbell House

Per Night - £12 per person (minimum charge £120)
Day only - £50 charge
Gas and Electricity usage are billed at the following prices.  Calor Gas £0.80 per litre.  Electricity £0.20 per unit.
A 25% booking Fee is required.
Cancellation must be made within 28 days of the entry date.  If cancelled within 28 days 50% of the full price will be payable.



  • Fully fitted Kitchen for 24 - two gas cookers, fridge freezer, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils for 24
  • Large meeting/dining hall with ample fold away tables and stacking chairs

  • Large dormitory sleeping 20 in  bunkbeds - mattress, pillow, blankets and bedspread provided. Sufficient hanging and drawer space.
  • Two smaller bedrooms sleeping 2 per room in bunkbeds - mattress, pillow, blankets and bedspread provided.  Sufficient hanging and drawer space.
  • Main Bathroom with 2 toilet cubicles, 2 shower cubicles and 4 sinks - this Bathroom has disabled access.

  • It is expected that all accomodation, equipment and utensils will be cleaned before departure
  • Smoking not permitted

  • All breakages must be reported
  • The surrounding fields and land are private property and we ask that you do not cause inconvenience to local residents
  • Please ensure that the refuse area is kept clean to discourage vermin
  • Bins should be placed outside the gates on Monday mornings for collection
